Cesare
Novi was born at Massalombarda (Ravenna) in 1938 but he is living and
working in Florence from over twenty-five years, a city which he
considers as his adoptive country. During his vacation he works hardly
and in touch with nature in his house on the Modenese Apennine. He
showed his works on personal exhibitions in Italy, France and
Switzerland. An ever growing number of affectionate collectors and
prestigious galleries contend for his paintings. He can be considered
just title a naïf, even if it is interesting to notice that his
refined technicality - his paint is clear, clean, precise, transparent,
without blurs – his congenial naturalism and his own spatial
construction, that derives from his never forgotten youth studies of the
geometry, make Novi a
really modern and unusual painter. He is a member of the Figurative Arts section of the Antica Compagnia del Paiolo. |
